[tab title=”EN”]DELPOZO The show we had all been waiting for – or at least in my case – took place in February 18th to launch Fall-Winter’18 collection. Creative director gave us everything, from skirts, pants, suits and sweaters, to capes, nightdresses and more. The runway had a flowery allure full of colors, where the flower-shaped belt was the element we all fell in love with. As always, Josep Font honored his architectonic studies, creating designs with structured yet graceful external and internal lines that combine to form beautiful ensembles. Delpozo collection is so beautiful that we would like to keep it safe behind crystal showcases, but at the same time, we are dying to get one of its pieces, aren’t we?

[tab title=”ES”]DELPOZO El show que todos habíamos esperado – o por lo menos lo es en mi caso – tuvo lugar el 18 de febrero para presentar la colección Otoño-Invierno 2018. El director creativo nos dio de todo: faldas, pantalones, trajes, suéteres, capas, vestidos de noche y más. El desfile tuvo un espíritu floreado y lleno de colores, donde la pieza que destacó fue el cinturón asemejando una flor que rodea la cintura de las modelos. Como siempre, Josep Font rindió honor a sus estudios arquitectónicos, creando diseños con líneas estructuradas tanto externas como internas, que se combinan para crear bellos conjuntos. La colección de Delpozo es tan hermosa que nos gustaría mantenerla en vitrinas para no dañarla, pero al mismo tiempo, morimos por obtener alguna de sus prendas, ¿o no?

[tab title=”EN”]BURBERRY English brand Fall’18 collection was launched in a joyful runway dedicated to LGBTQ+ community. It is creative director, Christopher Bailey, last show for Burberry, which with he offered a great gift to the public by reuniting different eras of the brand. Looking to connect with a young public who’s having more and more power of decision within society, Christopher Bailey renewed the firm’s image without abandoning brand’s essence, that we recognize for its trench print and scarfs. It is precisely because of this that he decided to name his collection: Time, in which he remembers Burberry over the years, inserting his own personal touch. He reunited Burberry’s representative elements, adding a casual and cool air with logo sweatshirts, comfy shoes and loose clothing; finally, he incorporated into the casting, iconic model and brand ambassador, Cara Delevingne, who gave a spectacular close to the runway in a long rainbow shearling cloak.

[tab title=”ES”]BURBERRY La colección de Otoño 2018 de la marca inglesa se presentó en un desfile alegre dedicado a la comunidad LGBTQ+. Se trata del último desfile del director creativo, Christopher Bailey, para Burberry, con el cual ofreció un gran regalo al público, reuniendo las eras de la marca en su pasarela de despedida; Christopher Bailey renovó la imagen de la firma buscando conectar con un público joven que influye cada día más en la sociedad, sin abandonar la esencia de la marca que reconocemos por el trench y las bufandas. Precisamente por eso, decidió llamar su colección Time, recordando la marca a lo largo del tiempo y agregando su toque personal. Christopher Bailey reunió los elementos representativos de Burberry, añadiendo un aire despreocupado con logo sweatshirts, zapatos cómodos y prendas holgadas; finalmente, integró en su casting a la modelo, quien fue una icónica embajadora de la marca, Cara Delevingne, para cerrar el show de una manera espectacular en un abrigo de piel con los colores del arcoíris.

[tab title=”EN”]J.W ANDERSON J.W. Anderson Fall ’18 Ready-to-wear collection is exactly that, clothes ready to wear. British designer runway was like having a walk a Friday evening in the streets of Brooklyn. We imagine models are easy-going young folk going to a restaurant or a bar to meet some friends. We observe light ensembles, in other words, outfits with few pieces in earth colors and with no prints or patterns. We also appreciate the footwear, specifically ankle boots and, in collaboration with Converse, Chuck Taylor tennis shoes.
J.W. Anderson opted for creating designs with no more complexity than expressing freedom and giving style, which is all we’re looking for nowadays when choosing an outfit.–

[tab title=”ES”]J.W ANDERSON La colección de Otoño’18 Ready-to-wear de J.W. Anderson es exactamente eso, atuendos listos para llevar. La pasarela del diseñador británico es como pasear por Brooklyn una tarde de viernes. Imaginamos que los modelos son jóvenes despreocupados dirigiéndose hacia un bar o restaurante para reunirse con sus amigos. Observamos conjuntos ligeros, es decir de pocas piezas, de colores tierra y sin estampados. Además, encontramos en varios un calzado natural y cómodo, la mayoría conformado por botines y, en colaboración con Converse, tennis Chuck Taylor.
J.W. Anderson apostó por crear diseños sin complicaciones que expresaran libertad y sentido de estilo, es decir, todo aquello que buscamos en la actualidad al elegir un outfit.

[tab title=”EN”]SIMONE ROCHA It just took a quick look to Mary Freer’s portrait by John Constable, hanging on one of her studio walls, to begin with the creative process that would have as a result the Fall’18 collection. Simone Rocha launched a very dramatic collection with various elements to highlight. First of all, we must emphasize the Victorian touch of beautiful lace dresses with puffy sleeves. Young designer also recreated tailored suits in order to give them a modern and feminine touch, with ribbons tighten its sleeves and light lace dresses as covers. On the other side, Rocha adds to her collection’s dramatic style, pointy footwear in shiny colors, with platforms and felt. It is with no doubt an interesting collection that combines the past with the present, thanks to the use of different textures and techniques.

[tab title=”ES”]SIMONE ROCHA Solo tomó un vistazo al cuadro de John Constable retratando a Mary Freer, que cuelga en una de las paredes de su estudio, para comenzar el proceso creativo que terminaría en su colección de Otoño’18. Simone Rocha presenta una colección de estilo dramático con varios elementos dignos de mencionar. Debemos distinguir, ante todo, el toque victoriano de los hermosos vestidos de encaje con voluminosas mangas. Además, la joven diseñadora recreó el traje sastre para darle un toque moderno y a la vez femenino, con listones envolviendo las mangas y vestidos como cubierta. Por otro lado, suma al dramatismo de su colección, un calzado puntiagudo de colores brillantes, con plataformas y peluche. Se trata de una colección interesante que combina el pasado con la actualidad, gracias a la utilización de diferentes texturas y trabajos.

[tab title=”EN”]MARY KATRANTZOU Mary Katrantzou took a risk on her Fall ’18 Ready-to-wear collection, by combining two movements opposed by nature: Bauhaus, which has also been called Minimalism and the Victorian era, where ostentatious decoration and femininity are essential elements. For this runway show, Greek designer experiments with decorative arts reflected in each of the ensembles. On one hand, Katrantzou launches a series of corsets with Victorian patterns and color palette; dresses resemble to large drapes and complex weaving carpets of this time period. On the other hand, she presents sober color and geometrical print outfits, in which are notable, jackets resembling to padded upholstery sofas. To Mary Katrantzou, this collection means testing her creativity by approaching 2 opposing styles that have been source of inspiration along her career.

[tab title=”ES”]MARY KATRANTZOU Mary Katrantzou se atreve a combinar dos movimientos que por naturaleza se oponen: la Bauhaus, que ha sido también llamada Minimalismo y la Época Victoriana, que se destaca por la ostentación en la decoración y la feminidad, para su colección de Otoño 2018 Ready-to-wear. Para este desfile, la diseñadora de origen griego experimenta con las artes decorativas que plasma en cada uno de los conjuntos. Por un lado, Katrantzou presenta una serie de corsés de una paleta de colores y estampados al estilo victoriano; los vestidos asemejan largas cortinas y alfombras de tejidos complejos de la época. Por otro lado, presenta conjuntos de colores sobrios y estampados geométricos, en los cuales se destacan las chamarras asemejando sillones con tapizado capitoné. Para Mary Katrantzou, esta colección significa probar su creatividad, poniendo frente a frente dos estilos que le han servido de inspiración a lo largo de su carrera.
